About Me
Hello, I’m Octavia, a Visual Artist, Animator and User Experience Researcher and Designer based in Maryland! I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Visual Arts, concentrating in Animation and Interactive Media; from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). I also received a Master of Professional Studies in UX Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2022.
While at UMBC, I was a Linehan Artist Scholar and an Undergraduate Research Award (URA) Scholar; I’ve had my work presented at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day and the Sweaty Eyeballs Animation festival. I also trained as a student athlete at UMBC on the Dance Team, where I served as Captain and Social Media and Marketing Director for two seasons and got the opportunity to choreograph routines to be performed at the 2019 America East Championship and UMBC Event Center throughout the basketball season!
